I have been practising yoga for more than 20 years, with a particular love for ashtanga. I completed 350 hours of Yoga Alliance Professionals-certificated teacher training with Inner Fire Yoga of Kendal in 2018. This consisted of a 250-hour Comprehensive Yoga Teacher Training course, a 50-hour Slow Flow Yoga Teacher Training Course, and a 50-hour Anatomy of Asana Teacher Training Course.
The same year I attended the 40-hour intensive course on the foundations and teaching techniques of ashtanga yoga with renowned ashtanga guru David Swenson, in Manchester.
In 2019, I travelled to India to further my knowledge of ashtanga teaching and of yoga philosophy. I completed the YAP-certificated 200-hour residential ashtanga teacher training course at Samyak Yoga in Mysore (find out more about the ashram and the ethos behind Samyak Yoga here).
I study continuously, and when I can, I attend workshops and courses to improve and refine my knowledge, teaching and practice. I am currently studying with the wonderful Jock Orton at Lime House Yoga Studio, attending a series of adjustment clinics as well as enjoying different styles of class from the teachers there.
I completed the 40-hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training at Limehouse, with Kitty Billings, in September 2024.
